Eniola Aluko

Eniola Aluko, investor and advisor of Mercury/13 Founding team is a former professional player for Chelsea, Juventus and England women’s national team with a professional career on the pitch spanning 12 years. Aluko retired from her playing career in 2019 and has since become an established international football broadcaster across men’s and women’s football in the UK and Internationally. 

Alongside TV broadcasting, she has developed her career as a football executive and became the first Sporting Director for Angel City FC of the American National women's soccer league with equity ownership in the team. She also held the position of Sporting Director at Aston Villa women from 2019-2021. 

She is passionately invested in the future landscape of women's football and the future of sports infrastructure and investment in Africa.
