Olivier Laouchez Background Olivier Laouchez, originally from Martinique (French Caribbean), is a prominent entrepreneur known for promoting African culture globally and empowering youth. He graduated from ESCP Business School in Paris and began his career by founding Antilles TV, in the French West Indies. He later managed Secteur Ä, a leading independent hip-hop label in France. 

Founding and Expanding Trace In 2003, Laouchez launched Trace with initial backing from Goldman Sachs, aiming to create a leading media group dedicated to Afro-urban culture. By 2023, Trace had expanded to operate 29 TV channels, 80 FM and digital radio stations, and had a significant social media presence, reaching 350 million fans in 190 countries. Innovative Initiatives Laouchez’s vision extends beyond entertainment. In 2021, Trace launched Trace Academia, a free online vocational training platform in collaboration with 50 companies and institutions, training over 300,000 African learners. 

Additionally, Trace's music monetization platforms have enabled over 40,000 artists to receive royalties. Social Causes and Empowerment Laouchez is deeply committed to social causes. He co-founded the Foundation for the Memory of Slavery and was honored as a Knight of the French National Order of Merit. Under his leadership, Trace has blended entertainment with educational and entrepreneurial opportunities, emphasizing social justice. His investments include producing the "Wild Orphan Rescue" and "Activated" series, focusing on wildlife conservation and empowering disabled persons, respectively. 

Global Influence Trace’s influence spans Africa, the Caribbean, Brazil, the Middle East, the Indian Ocean, and Europe, promoting creative industries, youth empowerment, inclusion and diversity. Laouchez frequently speaks at international conferences on creative industries and youth success.
