Selim Bora is the Chairman of Summa International Construction Group, a multinational company active in construction, real estate, hospitality, healthcare, energy, and mining.
He holds a BSc in Metallurgical Engineering from Middle East Technical University and an MSc in Industrial Engineering from Alfred University, New York. Since becoming Chairman in 1999, Selim has expanded Summa’s operations to 14 countries across 4 continents, with a strong presence in Sub-Saharan Africa, delivering major projects in airports, hotels, stadiums, convention centers, roads, shopping malls, and residential real estate.
For over 20 years, Summa has ranked among the ENR Top 225 International Contractors. Passionate about Africa’s future, Selim has positioned Summa as a leading investor on the continent. He also serves as President of the Turkish-Rwanda Business Council (DEİK), Chairman of the Akyurt Foundation, and Advisory Board Member of Richard Attias & Associates, with past leadership roles in major international contractor associations.
He is the recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award (2018) and the National Order of the Rank of Commander from the Republics of Senegal, Niger, and Congo. Selim is fluent in Turkish, English, French, and Russian.
