Mossadeck Bally is the Founder of Azalaï Hotels Group, the first private African hotel chain in West Africa. 

Born in 1961 in Niger to Malian parents with a strong trading background, he pursued studies in France and the United States, earning a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco. In 1994, he founded the Société Malienne de Promotion Hôtelière (SMPH) to acquire the Grand Hôtel de Bamako during Mali’s privatization program. Building on this success, he launched the Salam Hotel and managed Hotel Nord Sud in Bamako. By 2005, he consolidated his properties under the Azalaï Hotels brand, marking the start of an ambitious regional expansion. Under his leadership, Azalaï Hotels Group extended its footprint across Burkina Faso, Guinea-Bissau, Benin, Mauritania, Côte d’Ivoire, and Senegal, with ongoing projects in Conakry, Niamey, and Douala. 

Today, the Group employs over 700 people directly and 2,000 indirectly, standing as a symbol of African entrepreneurship and excellence in hospitality.
