H.E. Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem

Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem is Group Chairman and CEO of DP World, and Chairman of the Ports, Customs & Free Zone Corporation. A key driver of the UAE’s trade and logistics growth, he has helped shape Dubai into a global commercial hub. 

Over four decades, he has led DP World’s transformation from a local port operator into an integrated global supply chain company. Strategic acquisitions — including P&O, UNICO Logistics, Imperial Logistics, and Syncreon — have extended the company’s reach to 83 countries, with over 119,000 employees and operations handling 102 million TEU, around 10% of global container trade. 

He also oversaw the evolution of Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) into one of the region’s leading business ecosystems and is home to over 11,000 companies. Under his leadership, DP World contributes more than 36% to Dubai’s GDP and 12% to the UAE’s. His focus remains on building resilient infrastructure to power global trade.
