Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Kingdom of Morocco
Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, appointed as Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform within the Moroccan Government on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, is the former Executive President and current Honorary President of the International Center for Artificial Intelligence of Morocco (AI Movement), a strategic initiative within Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P).
She also held the position of Distinguished Professor at Sorbonne University in Paris, where she taught at the Faculty of Science and Engineering. As a researcher at LIP6 – UMR CNRS 7606, one of the largest computer science laboratories in France, she has been at the forefront of innovation in artificial intelligence. With a PhD in Computer Science and an Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR), Ms. Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni is recognized as one of the world’s leading experts in Distributed Artificial Intelligence and Multi-Agent Systems.
Her influence in the field was highlighted by her election as General Chair of the international AAMAS 2020 conference in Auckland, New Zealand. She has also initiated numerous international collaborations with prestigious institutions such as the National Institute of Informatics (NII) in Tokyo, as well as universities in Mexico, Brazil, Romania, and other European countries.
