Allan Kilavuka

Group Managing Director & CEO, Kenya Airways Plc

Allan Kilavuka is the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kenya Airways Plc and a Non-Executive Board Member of its subsidiaries, Jambojet and Precision Air. He also serves as Chairperson of the African Airlines Association (AFRAA). Allan assumed leadership of Kenya Airways at the onset of one of the most challenging periods in aviation history. Through decisive measures and innovative initiatives, he has successfully steered the airline through turbulence while safeguarding its operations. 

Prior to this role, he was the Managing Director of Jambojet Limited, where he drove growth and operational resilience. With more than 23 years of leadership and management experience, Allan has built a distinguished career across Africa. He has demonstrated proven expertise in change management, financial planning, integration, process improvement, compliance, and responsible strategic leadership. Notably, he contributed to the turnaround of GE Power Services Africa and GE Industrial Solutions in South Africa. Allan began his career at Deloitte East Africa in Nairobi, specializing in Audit, Accounting, and Business Support Services. He later joined General Electric (GE), holding several senior leadership roles in Kenya and South Africa, including as Africa Share Service Leader. 

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Nairobi and a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychology from the University of Liverpool. Trained at GE’s Crotonville Leadership Institute in New York, Allan is also a member of ICPAK. In 2024, he was honored with the African Aviation Leadership Award by African Aviation magazine.
