Adefemi is a broadcast journalist, public speaker and advocate for press freedom. She has worked with some of the world's leading news networks including Al Jazeera, Reuters, Sky News and TRT World and is the International Correspondent and Anchor at Arise News based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Adefemi is a 2023 Fellow at the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard University. She holds a BA in International Politics from King's College London. Adefemi has been on the frontline of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, covering the refugee crisis and the role of race in the early war evacuation effort. She has reported from the U.S. Presidential elections and the 2025 inauguration, the World Economic Forum in Davos, the International Monetary Fund & World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington DC, as well as the G7 Forum in Cornwall. Adefemi has interviewed, one-on-one, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, and Amina Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General at the United Nations.
